* With three of a possible four points taken from the opening weekend, the Vees have to be satisfied with their start to the season. There certainly was mistakes and rookies looking like rookies, but this is early season hockey in the BCHL and exactly what we see each September.
* The Vees now have a lengthy 12 day break until their next game, providing the coaching staff with a great opportunity to iron out any breakdowns from games 1 & 2, and more time for this group to come together.
* Shawn Mullin (Smokies Play-by-Play) has more on Saturday Nights 5-4 double overtime thriller in Trail.
* While the Vees perhaps could have fared better for their efforts in Trail, they did escape Westside with two points, salvaging the night with a particularly strong third period of play.
