Shawn Mullin has done a great job covering the trade deadline at his blog.
The news of the day is Vernon acquiring Mike Leidl and Camron Brodie for John Digness (to Burnaby) and Steve Tresierra (to Merritt?!). Shawn Mullin talked with Vipers coach Mark Ferner about the deal. The Vipers are done… no cards left. Mark Ferner just handed in his term paper a week early, while his counterparts are still in the library.
2 D-men, 2 (’88) vets, 2 big bodies, and 2 days for the Silverbacks to respond!
There are rumblings around the league of other deals close to officially done (including Eli Grossmann moving to the AJHL, a talented forward to Westside, and Salmon Arm adding a gritty forward), stay tuned to see what’s fact and what’s fable.

So if the paper is in early, how do you grade it? Got to be at least a B+ based on needs as far as I’m concerned. Of course, who knows what is to come from the other contenders.
