16-year-old Vees forward Stephan Nicholishen has committed to the University of Nebraska at Omaha Mavericks.
Nicholishen, the youngest member of the Vees, has yet to record a point in his first year in the BCHL.
Currently Nebraska Omaha competes in the CCHA (Div. 1 NCAA), but by the time Stephan arrives in Omaha the Mavericks will be playing in the WCHA.
The Vees currently have 8 players with NCAA commitments.
I spoke with the 215 pound power forward about the news prior to practice today.
