Lots on the program this week. Murray Maxwell joined me in studio on a busy week in Vees-land.

We had highlights from the week that was, Caught up with WJAC Team Canada West Coach Rylan Ferster, as well as Joey LaLeggia and Garrett Milan. Also Beau Bennett tells us how excited he is to line up accross from his teammates as he dawns the Red, White, and Blue for team USA.

Zac Dalpe drops by to give us an update on Devon Krogh’s ‘flow’ at Ohio State, The Interior Conference Power Rankings are altered with Trail’s 1st win of the year, and Brian Wiebe helps us tee up Tuesday’s game in Merritt.

While the Vees 3rd game is 4 nights might not have the sexy appeal of the previous pair, there is quite a few ‘BIG’ games around the BCHL tonight.

- Still chasing down their 3rd win of the season, Bryant Perrier and the Alberni Valley Bulldogs are in Surrey where the Eagles have just 4 wins this season… lets call this the Coastal Doormat Bowl!

- The Capitals were supposed to be much improved this season, a win in Frank Crane would make a statement, while a Clippers ‘W’ would put some pressure on the road weary Grizzlies.

LNG @ PR

- The Kings and Chiefs are looking like the class of the mainland, great battle here. Who Rules? The Kings or the Cheifs.

INTERIOR CONFERENCE

- The Smokies will have their hands full with an ornery Grizzlies club that is in the midst of their longest winless skid, and longest road trip of the season.

SA @ PG

- The Interior’s best September club faces the Interior’s best October club (who will be December’s best?) in the first of two in two in the Caribou.

WS @ VRN

- The Warriors are (0-3-0-0) against Vernon this year. Will the trend continue?

The BCHL front office has stepped up the league’s promotion this season.

The new website, ad campaign (’Smart Hockey’), ‘pay-per-view’ streaming video, and monthly publication are just a few of the new strategies that are keeping the BCHL ahead of other Jr. ‘A’ leagues in Canada. The league has also featured a Game of the Week showcasing strong match-ups.

The Penticton Vees and Salmon Arm Silverbacks are the headliner this week. Check out what the coaches have to say about their opponent.

With the Vees enjoying an early bye week in the season, as the S.O.E.C. nears completion, here’s a look at the best the BCHL has to offer this weekend.

FRIDAY

Vernon @ Westside - A home win from the Warriors would be their first BIG win of the season, while a Vernon ‘W’ would add fuel to the early season hype.

Cowichan @ Nanaimo - A season opening visit to last year’s Coastal Champs is all the buzz in Cowichan where expectations are high in a competitive Island Division.

Victoria @ Alberni Valley - The Bulldogs open their season at home with stiff test. This is what we call a measuring stick!

Burnaby @ Langley - BCHL GAME OF THE WEEK

SATURDAY

Victoria @ Langley - This may be the Best of the Lower Mainland against the Best of the Island.

Prince George @ Vernon - First big test for the Spruce Kings who embarrassed Merritt last weekend.

Westside @ Trail - Can the Smoke Eaters continue their momentum at home as the Warriors venture East to the Kootenays

Nanaimo @ Cowichan - Round Two in Duncan. I love the second of home-and-homes. Things tend to get nasty.
